Drain Dye Testing
A Dye Test is performed by releasing a colour dye into the drainpipe, gully or inspection chamber that highlights any potential drainage issues.Once the problem has been identified, Drains IOM engineers will use their knowledge and experience to recommend the appropriate corrective action. The dye can be poured into drains to identify which drain is faulty. Its a process of elimination as there are many different colours so several tests can be carried out at the same time.Dye testing has many applications for instance if you have water getting into your property dye tests can be carried out to attempt to find where the water is coming from and of course pouring dye into your drainage system can identify a problem. There are other applications. Give me a call anytime and hopefully I will be able to help.
Drain Renovation and Patch Liners
Non disruptive, environment friendly.
Patch liners ( Permanent Localised Structural Repair ) cured-in-place repair (CIPR) .
The cost-effective alternative
Patch liners can be used to repair localised damage where full
end-to-end lining would be unnecessary. This method involves placing
a piece of impregnated matter on an elongated inflatable bladder and
guiding it into place with the help of a CCTV camera. When it is
precisely located, the bladder is inflated, pressing the patch into
place. The pressure is maintained until the patch has cured, the
bladder is then deflated and withdrawn, and the job is done. Patch
liners are becoming increasingly popular for dealing with isolated
defects, offering a cost-effective alternative to a full liner or
other repair such as digging up the drain or sewer.
Guaranteed for 10yrs and tested and fit for use for in excess of 50yrs.
Lining (CIPP) cured-in-place pipe
A renovation technique in which a resin-impregnated liner is placed inside
a drain and cured in-situ. It may be full length, where it starts
and finishes at an access chamber, or part-length,where it starts at a
chamber and finishes part way along a drain.

Electronic Tracing - Foul And Storm Water Sewers and Drains.
Not sure where your drains go to or the actual course they take?
Have manholes become buried?
A transmitting sonde attached to a flex-rod is
introduced into the sewer at an inspection pit, gulley, or pipe end and manually pushed
down the pipe.
Its progress is monitored and positioned above ground using a locator.
The ground can be marked at intervals or mapped. Depth readings are also indicated.
Pre-Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme
Developed to spare Domestic, commercial and industrial clients the
inconvenience and embarrassment of blockages, unpleasant
odours, or health hazards, the Drains IOM pre-planned ‘preventative’ maintenance programme is a cost effective
method of ensuring that your drains remain as clean as
your reputation.
What is it?
The programme is tailor-made to your individual
requirements and offers planned maintenance of your
drains, sewers and associated pipe work.
The idea is to keep the system flowing freely, so
avoiding the problems associated with blockages and
reduced flow. It can be applied to foul drainage, and
process pipe work.
All pipe work is different, and the frequency and type of
service depends on the amount of use the system gets.
The substance being discharged, size of building and
type and size of pipe work are all contributing factors
to the effectiveness of the system.
How does the programme work?
The first step is to
carry out a free site survey. Then we will analyse
previous problems and isolate areas of concern. we will
then recommend an initial ‘clean’ that will return the
pipe work to full flow and optimum performance. A
programme is then prepared showing which part
of the system needs cleaning on a regular basis. Then,
by prior arrangement and at a time to suit you,
Engineers will carry out the scheduled work, ensuring a
minimum of inconvenience.
The Benefits?
A pre-planned ‘preventative’ maintenance programme helps
to avoid blockages that can result in damage to property
and stock, the potential health risk from flooding, the
obvious inconveniences and, of course, unbudgeted
expenditure.
What’s the next step?
Arrange a ‘without obligation’ appointment.
